In his Vasto Lorde form, Ichigo unleashes a massive Cero that pierces the roof of Las Noches, vaporizing part of it and completely destroying Ulquiorra’s body. While the explosion covers a large portion of the roof, only a fraction of it is actually vaporized by Ichigo’s attack. This raises a key question: how powerful is this attack?
In this section, we will attempt to answer that by relying on information presented in the manga, combined with our previous estimates.

| Bleach chapter 352 (vaporization perspective) |
As seen in the manga panels, perspective distortion makes direct size comparisons difficult, often exaggerating the apparent scale and destructiveness of the explosion. However, later chapters provide a clearer viewpoint. In Chapter 354, the perspective is significantly improved, allowing for a more reliable estimation. This panel will therefore be used to calculate the vaporized volume caused by Ichigo’s attack.

Vaporized Volume Estimation
Based on our previous post, we determined that the roof of Las Noches has a thickness of 520 meters, which will be used as a reference value.
- Roof thickness: 520 meters = 24 px
- Hole diameter: 500 px = 10,400 meters
To estimate the vaporized volume, we model the destroyed section as a cylinder:
Assuming a rock density of 2,500 kg/m³, this results in approximately:
Vaporization Energy
As previously established, vaporizing 1 kg of rock requires approximately 10 MJ of energy.
Total Energy
This corresponds to roughly 262,906 megatons of TNT. This result is consistent with the values obtained earlier during the battle against Ulquiorra, as this attack is portrayed as more powerful than both Lanza del Relámpago and Dark Cero.
It is important to note that these values may appear extreme or exaggerated. However, this is primarily a consequence of the estimated size of Las Noches. If its dimensions were reduced by a factor of ten, the total energy would decrease by roughly two orders of magnitude. This uncertainty should be kept in mind when interpreting the results.
Conclusion
Based on vaporization calculations and consistent scaling, Vasto Lorde Ichigo’s Cero reaches energy levels in the hundreds of thousands of megatons. This places the attack well above Ulquiorra’s techniques, confirming it as one of the most destructive feats shown during the Las Noches arc.
